Is there a solution to this? I can play the game properly, but it takes a lot of the intensity away if I can't hear, and makes pinpointing a Witch very hard. At first I shrugged it off, but as I kept playing, I realised that no horde music, witch music, and any other special infected music played either. I started the No Mercy campaign and there was no 'safe room' music. This left plenty of space for the characters to grow far, far beyond the archetypes they might've been.So, the last time I played L4D on my console, everything seemed normal until I actually got in game.

If you wanted to dig into that stuff, it was there-scrawled across the game's levels in wonderfully comic graffiti, instead of being painstakingly explained to you in every facet of the game's marketing.
